This course covers the principles and application of two-dimensional or flat pattern designs, the development of foundation blocks for designing various garment styles and details, and conceptualization and execution of original garment designs. Students design and engineer the patterns for the final project and produce one look from the basic block.
The example is from a graduate student who took this course as TAM 7091. The design, named The Fragrance of The East, won the ITAA Award for Innovative Design Scholarship – Graduate Category in 2021.
